BOZEMAN, Mont., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- RightNow® Technologies (Company

Stories, Case
Studies) (Nasdaq: RNOW - News), a leading provider of on demand CRM software solutions, today announced Banknorth Group, Inc. is deploying RightNow Service(TM) and RightNow Locator(TM) to optimize both the quality of the service its customers receive and the cost-efficiency with which it delivers that service. The deployment of RightNow's on demand CRM solutions will enable this major commercial bank to respond quickly to customer information requests across multiple channels with consistent, accurate and up-to-date answers, while it reduces its contact center workload.
Customer service is a key competitive differentiator for Banknorth, which is the largest financial services provider headquartered in New England. RightNow Service allows the bank to extend the same responsive and personal customer care it provides in its local branches to its web and email. RightNow Locator(TM) gives customers the address and driving directions for branches throughout the region from the bank's web sites.
"One reason our customers bank with us is that our tellers know them and treat them as individuals," Mark Ellis, vice president of eCommerce Development at Banknorth, said. "With RightNow, we can extend that quality of service across multiple communication channels -- thereby maximizing customer satisfaction and retention."
Under RightNow's on demand model, Banknorth is able to reap the benefits of RightNow Service and RightNow Locator without the added capital investment in internal IT infrastructure required by conventional enterprise applications. This reduces capital outlay, speeds implementation and reduces ongoing software cost-of-ownership.
"In the financial services industry, customer satisfaction and agile delivery of customer care are key differentiators," Sean Forbes, vice president of marketing and business development at RightNow, said. "By implementing RightNow's state-of-the-art CRM solutions, Banknorth adds an additional tool to increase customer satisfaction and will be able to sustain that competitive advantage while it keeps operational costs under control."
