Primus Knowledge Solutions Named One of the Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Washington State for Third Consecutive Year

Primus Recognized by Deloitte & Touche "Fast 50" Program; Attributing its Success to 267 Percent Revenue Growth from 1997 to 2001


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2002-- Primus Knowledge Solutions (Nasdaq:PKSI - News) today announced that is has been named to Deloitte & Touche's "Technology Fast 50" Program for Washington state for the third consecutive year.

This ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Washington state is based on percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues during a five-year period (1997- 2001). During this time, Primus' operating revenue grew approximately 267 percent.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1997 and $1,000,000 in 2001, must be public or private companies headquartered in Washington state, and be "technology companies" defined as companies that own proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
