Peppers and Rogers Group Appoints Former Readers Digest Editor and AP Journalist as Editorial Director of Expanding Media DivisionCRM Consulting and Media Firm Expands Suite of 1to1® Focused Publications, Media Services and ProductsStamford, Conn., October 2, 2000: In response to the dramatic and continued expansion of management consulting firm Peppers and Rogers Group, the Media/Information Services division has appointed Terry Kirkpatrick as Editorial Director. Kirkpatrick, formerly Managing Editor of The Readers Digest, will oversee the editorial content of a variety of Peppers and Rogers Group newsletters, magazines and research projects. He joins the company at a time when its explosive growth demands accelerated development of 1to1® products and services to enhance and support publishing activities and global consulting engagements.“It is very exciting to join the company that began the one-to-one revolution,” said Kirkpatrick. “Peppers and Rogers Group literally ‘wrote the book’ on one to one marketing, and the firm remains the acknowledged thought leader in the field. There is an incredible demand for information about one to one, and my job will be to help provide it.” Kirkpatrick spent 16 years with The Readers Digest magazine, rising to the position of Managing Editor. Other experience includes tenure at IBM, where he served as Internet Editor of IBM’s Think Leadership magazine, a customer publication for executives wrestling with the issues of the Information Age. Kirkpatrick began his career at The Associated Press, where he was a business writer and editor, and a writer for AP Newsfeatures. “Terry has the right background and experience, both off and online, to provide the editorial leadership we need for our expanding group of publications,” said Hershel Sarbin, partner with Peppers and Rogers Group and Senior Director of the Media Information Services Group. “ We are delighted that he has agreed to join our corporation to help us shape our future.” As Editorial Director, Kirkpatrick will oversee the content of a wide range of existing print and electronic products dedicated to the CRM marketplace including Inside 1to1; 1to1 Opportunities; 1to1Marketer; 1to1 Personalization Guide, scheduled for launch this fall, as well as industry specific research reports. Additionally, Kirkpatrick with oversee content for future Internet-based editorial and research products.
