Oracle Delivers Integrated Business Flows Across Finance, Human Resources and Projects

New Set of FastForward Flows Gives Companies Fast Path to Oracle E-Business Suite Benefits and Operational Efficiencies

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Dec. 10 / -- ( http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?1082362 ) Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL - news), the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced new packaged FastForward Flows that enable companies to deploy e-business processes globally across human resources, finance and project lines of business in 90 days or less. The new FastForward Flows are designed to allow companies to implement bite sized pieces of the Oracle® E-Business Suite according to business objectives and connect them to existing Oracle applications, third party applications or legacy systems. Additionally, customers have the choice to run the FastForward Flows as an Oracle online service or through their own in-house systems.

By leveraging business flows inherent in Oracle's integrated E-Business Suite, the new FastForward Flows will deliver portions of Oracle's E-Business Suite that address human resource, finance and projects business processes for a fixed-price in rapid-time. These packaged offerings will provide customers with an easy starting point to the Oracle E-Business Suite while delivering the global capabilities and deployment they need.

New FastForward Flows Address Operational Efficiencies

The latest set of FastForward Flows leverage self-service capabilities to help companies eliminate redundancy saving time and resources, improving efficiencies and lowering operational costs. These standard implementations will provide companies with a path to fast business benefits. Oracle plans to deliver several key ERP business flows that can be implemented in 90 days or less including:

Accounting to Financial Reports: Automates the complete financial business flow, from purchase to pay, invoice to cash, assets to depreciation and accounting transactions to financial reports, and helps companies build a smarter business by strategically managing supplier payments, customer invoicing, cash management and forecasting and the asset life cycle. The FastForward Flow solution also allows companies to improve and streamline their financial reporting both internally and externally.
Self-Service Expenses: Automates the complete expense processing flow, from requisition to pay. This offering will help companies reduce the administrative costs and cycle times associated with expense processing. Leveraging the power of the Oracle Internet Expense application, this offering allows companies to dramatically reduce the amount of time and effort required to submit, approve, process, and pay expense reports.
People to Paycheck: Automates the complete human resources flow, including recruit to hire, compensate to compete and deploy to separation. This offering helps companies lower administrative expenses and improve information access and quality. Leveraging the power of the Oracle Human Resources and Payroll applications, this offering allows HR professionals and management to focus on improving HR practices and provides business information so companies can manage strategic goals and objectives. The People to Paycheck FastForward Flow also provides a robust foundation for strategic workforce management, simplification of benefits programs and payroll management.
Project to Profit: Automates the complete projects flow, including plan to create, budget to bill, budget to cost management, budget to assets and analysis to project closure. This offering helps companies bridge the gap between the operations and corporate finance departments. Leveraging the Oracle Projects application Project to Profit links remote teams and distributed project data, allowing better tracking and business decisions on all projects. This offering also simplifies revenue tracking, invoicing, labor and expense report costing, and project related Purchasing and Accounts Payable transactions, without reducing the flexibility companies need to manage projects.
``By implementing business flows rather than point products companies can simplify their business processes and reduce costs,'' said Jeremy Burton, senior vice president, product and services marketing. ``The newest set of FastForward Flows allows companies to quickly and cost effectively implement critical parts of the Oracle E-Business Suite, giving them what they need to run their core business operations when they need it.''

Oracle also offers training to complement the rapid implementation of products. Courses are delivered on-site, in the classroom, or on-line to provide customers with the right training at the right time.
