Oracle Lowers Costs on a Global Scale for Customers by Delivering Software As An Online Service

New Customers Choose Oracle(R) E-Business Suite Online to Automate, Standardize and Integrate Business Processes While Reducing Costs

(Nasdaq: ORCL - news), the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced new customer wins for Oracle® E-Business Suite Online, demonstrating Oracle's momentum in the growing online services industry. Increasingly, businesses are turning to Oracle for its E-Business Suite software, delivered as an online service to cut costs by simplifying business operations, minimizing information technology (IT) costs and deploying business-critical applications quickly and easily. Additionally, by using Oracle software delivered as an online service, businesses can focus on their core competencies, instead of software management, helping them achieve strategic corporate goals faster.

New Oracle E-Business Suite Online customers include Karl Suss, a global supplier of manufacturing equipment and process technology for the advanced packaging, microelectronics and micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) markets, and Peach Direct, a provider of Web-enabled TV technology and services. Karl Suss selected Oracle to standardize financial and manufacturing business processes on a global scale. Peach Direct selected Oracle because only Oracle could provide a fully integrated suite of applications and complete hosting services. Infinity Pharmaceuticals, MedUnite, e-Travel and Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals are also among the customers that purchased Oracle E-Business Suite Online during Q1.

Karl Suss Selects Oracle to Standardize on Global Scale

Peach Direct Chooses Oracle for Integration

To date, more than 15,000 customers in more than 150 countries are using the CRM online services to manage key components of their business.

Further demonstrating Oracle's continuing success in the online services marketplace, many customers also chose to renew their contracts for Oracle E-Business Suite Online during Q1, including Boston Medical Technologies, Inc., Convergent Resources, Maple Optical Systems, Inc., Nuance, Smartsynch, Virtual Ink and Yipes Communications.
