Oracle Announces Embedded Software License for ISVsNew Licensing Model Creates New Market Opportunity for ISVs in Price Sensitive MarketsREDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Oct. 9 / -- ( http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?953545 ) Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL - news), the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced a new licensing model for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The new Oracle Embedded Software License provides a complete and simple pricing model that applies to Oracle's entire technology platform (including Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i Application Server). It is designed for ISVs who embed Oracle platform technology into their software solutions. Embedded software solutions are software packages where Oracle technology is fully integrated into ISV applications.The Oracle Embedded Software License features competitive and flexible pricing models, which include either a royalty option starting at five percent of the ISV's list price, or an 80 percent discount off of the Oracle List Price.
