Oracle Small Business Suite Available in Canada

New Webstore/Website and CRM Functionality Enhance Existing Accounting Online Service for Canadian Market

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Sept. 10 / -- ( http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?888419 ) Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL - news), the largest provider of software for e-business, today announced it has expanded the Oracle Small Business Suite with two new online services for the Canadian market. New functionality for building Web stores, Web sites and managing customer relationship activities are now available to complement the existing Canadian version of Oracle Small Business Accounting. These new services seamlessly work together with the Canadian version of Accounting, which was launched in June of 2000. Now small businesses in Canada can manage their key business processes, including accounting and finance, customer relationship management and e- commerce, much more efficiently and effectively.

The new Oracle Small Business Web store/Web site allows Canadian users to create online stores to extend the reach of their businesses to anyone shopping on the Internet. It has the ability to calculate sales taxes in compliance with the Canadian Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST). For companies who just want to have a Web site, they can easily build their Web presence using the tools in this feature.

Additionally, the Oracle Small Business Suite will now offer Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services for the Canadian market. This new service includes an integrated contact manager, company manager, task list, and calendar. In addition to storing contact information and company records, CRM enables businesses to track the communication and transaction history of their business relationships through a single screen. The calendar enables users to schedule events with companies and contacts with whom they work. Users can create tasks, assign them to others, set a priority level and monitor the status.

For Canadian customers, these two new services work in conjunction with the existing Oracle Small Business Accounting for Canada. Launched in June of 2000, this feature is specifically designed for the Canadian accounting environment. It gives Canadian users the ability to perform all accounting functions while providing them with the convenience of remote access. Additionally it has the capability to perform all transactions pertaining to Goods and Services Tax (GST) and provincial Sales Tax (PST).

The online services of the Oracle Small Business Suite are designed to work together optimally, to eliminate redundant data entry and streamline business processes. For example, all orders placed in the Web store automatically create a sales order in the Accounting system, and sales are automatically reflected in the up-to-date customer history records. Built-in registration functionality in the Web site allows businesses to capture customer prospects directly into the CRM service for immediate follow-up by their sales people. Businesses can automatically create Web store catalog pages using their existing Oracle Small Business inventory and service items. When they make changes in inventory, including price changes, product descriptions, images and the addition of new items, their Web stores will be updated simultaneously.

``Today's launch now gives the Canadian small business market a complete business management system, and reflects our long-term desire to make the Oracle Small Business Suite the global solution to effectively run a small and growing enterprise,'' said Evan Goldberg, president and chief executive officer of Oracle Small Business.

Pricing and Availability

Web store is offered at $49.95 per month and Web site at $19.95 per month. CRM is at $19.95 per user, per month. Both new services are available immediately.
