Oracle Starts Countdown to Oracle OpenWorld

Oracle 25th Birthday Celebration, Top Exec Keynotes Featured at December Event

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Sept. 4  -- ( http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?882396 ) Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL - news), the largest provider of software for e-business, today opened registration to the world's largest conference dedicated to Oracle technology, Oracle OpenWorld. The conference, which offers comprehensive education for developers, database administrators (DBAs), line-of-business executives, customers and partners, will be held December 2-7, 2001, at Moscone Center, San Francisco.

This popular event, which attracted more than 82,000 attendees last year, will feature a celebration of Oracle's 25th birthday, keynotes from popular Oracle executives including a widely-anticipated address by Larry Ellison, Oracle Corp. chairman and CEO, and an enhanced curriculum for developers and DBAs. In addition, the event will offer keynotes delivered by industry visionaries who will discuss the present and future of the ever-changing technology industry. Compaq, EMC, Intel and Sun, all partners of Oracle, will participate and present as platinum sponsors of the event.

The conference also features:
