OCTANE SOFTWARE APPOINTS BOB WITTY AS VICE PRESIDENT OF CHANNEL DEVELOPMENTLeading eCRM Vendor Strengthens Management TeamSan Mateo, Calif. - October 5, 1999 - Octane Software, Inc.™, a leading provider of electronic customer relationship management (eCRM) solutions, today announced the appointment of Bob Witty as Vice President of Channel Development. Witty brings to Octane more than 12 years of channel development success from Micromuse, McAfee Associates (now Network Associates), Remedy Corp., and Oracle. He is responsible for worldwide channel development, including building and managing relationships with Systems Integrators and VARs as well as overseeing Octane's OEM program.The appointment of Witty to Octane's management team reflects the company's rapid growth and the increasing market demand for its products. As a result, Octane is expanding its operations in the U.S. and abroad. In conjunction with this release, the company announced its international expansion with the first office for Europe, the Middle East and Africa opening in London. Octane recently announced record revenues for the quarter ending June 30, 1999 and has seen an employee growth rate of 77 percent in the past six months, bringing the total to 115 employees.
