NativeMinds Names New Executive Team to Drive Adoption of Web Self-ServiceSAN FRANCISCO – October 1, 2002 – NativeMinds Inc., a leading provider of Web customer self-service solutions, today announced the appointment of four executives to lead the company as it continues to expand its list of Fortune 1000 customers. Aaron Rosenbaum, Richard Schillbach, Jennifer Fell and Tom Schofield have been named vice presidents of marketing, sales, engineering, and professional services, respectively. The appointments will help the NativeMinds’ management team capitalize on the rising demand for self-service solutions, specifically “virtual” agents, which are online “personalities” that answer a broad array of customer questions. The growth rate of the emerging virtual agent market will exceed that of the overall e-service market, with a compounded annual growth of 30 percent through 2004, according to META Group. NativeMinds’ Virtual Representatives, or vReps(tm), help companies reduce call center costs while increasing customer satisfaction. “Our new team strikes the right balance for driving sales in a growing market while helping our enterprise customers get the most out of their vReps,” said Peter Micciche, chief executive officer at NativeMinds. “Each of these executives brings a proven talent for innovation as well as the detailed expertise needed to put their visions into practice. In the end, the biggest benefit gained to our customers’ end users is they get their questions answered efficiently and knowledgably.” Aaron Rosenbaum, newly named vice president of marketing, brings a solid background in enterprise software marketing. Prior to NativeMinds, he was the vice president of marketing at OpenDesign, a Web-services software company, and Cohera, now a division of PeopleSoft. Rosenbaum was a senior partner at Cambridge Technology Partners, where he led large-scale self-service Web integration projects for clients such as HP, Sega, and Seagate. “NativeMinds has emerged as a key player in the Web self-service market, largely on the reputation of its customer satisfaction rate,” Rosenbaum said. “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to work with customers such as Ford and Coca-Cola. Together, we will bring a higher level of customer satisfaction and deliver greater business results to Web self-service.” Richard Schillbach has been appointed vice president of sales and will lead NativeMinds’ worldwide sales team. With nearly two decades of experience in the technology industry, Schillbach has held several management roles including vice president of eastern sales for eGain Corp. In that position, he grew the sales group from a 6- to 21- person sales team and increased gross revenues tenfold in one year. Jennifer Fell has been named vice president of engineering after successive promotions since joining NativeMinds in 1999. Fell will now lead the development and deployment of the technology behind vReps solutions. Prior to joining NativeMinds, Fell worked at several technology companies including HP, Rational Software Corp., and Expert Support. Tom Schofield has stepped up as vice president of professional services after leading the Professional Services Organization at NativeMinds for over three years. Schofield will manage the implementation, training, and customer support for NativeMinds’ Fortune 1000 customer base.
