NativeMinds Names Gordon Heinrich as VP of Worldwide Services

Former Inktomi Executive to Oversee Worldwide Client Services

SAN FRANCISCO – Sept. 11, 2001 – NativeMinds, a leader in online natural language customer self-service solutions, announced today that Gordon Heinrich, formerly vice president of worldwide professional services at Inktomi, has joined the company’s executive staff. In the role of vice president of worldwide services for NativeMinds, Heinrich will provide strategic client services direction and drive continued excellence in customer and partner interaction and satisfaction through all phases of the sales cycle.

NativeMinds’ ground breaking virtual representatives, or vReps™, are automated online personalities that emulate the best in human customer service by providing personalized and immediate answers to customer questions via two-way natural language dialog. Under Heinrich’s direction, NativeMinds provides a comprehensive suite of consulting services to assist our customers in developing a compelling user experience, accelerate implementations and provide unparalleled customer support and training.

“NativeMinds has a solid customer base and rapidly growing client services needs,” said Heinrich. “It’s an exciting challenge to grow and refine the worldwide client services organization for a company that is fundamentally changing how Fortune 1000 enterprises are improving the quality of customer service.”

During his tenure at Inktomi, Heinrich founded the worldwide professional services organization, which under his leadership delivered a full spectrum of consulting and implementation services to the leading Internet, telecommunications and Fortune 500 companies. As vice president of Inktomi’s worldwide professional services, he developed the consulting business, recruited and hired top management and consulting talent, established relationships with large systems integrators and consulting firms, and worked with the executive team to set strategic product and marketing direction.

Prior to Inktomi, Heinrich spent four years at First Consulting, where he was a vice president, responsible for three key practice areas: Internet, call center, and customer relationship management (CRM).  In that capacity, he founded and grew the consulting practice areas, including business and staff development and engagement management. Heinrich’s previous experience also includes product development, services, engineering and marketing for various enterprises, including Deloitte & Touche, Nomadic Systems, Network Equipment Technologies, Fujitsu, Pacific Bell, and Ford Motor Company. Overall, Mr. Heinrich brings almost twenty years of management experience to NativeMinds.

“As our customer base continues to expand, our clients are demanding NativeMinds services at an exponential rate,” said Walter Tackett, NativeMinds’ chief executive officer. “We’re very fortunate to have Gordon Heinrich join our executive team. With his proven track record in the industry, he is the ideal candidate to provide strategic direction and leadership to grow our worldwide client services.”
