NATIVEMINDS ANNOUNCES SIEBEL VALIDATION

NativeMinds Successfully Integrates Virtual Customer Service Representative Technology With Siebel eBusiness Applications

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 21, 2001—NativeMinds, Inc., a leading provider of automated, natural language customer service solutions for the Web, today announced that the integration between its NeuroServer 3.0 and Siebel eBusiness Applications version 6.0 has been successfully validated by    Siebel Systems.  Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL) is the world’s leading provider of eBusiness applications software.

At the core of NativeMinds’ technology are virtual representatives, or vReps, automated online personalities that emulate the best in human customer service at a fraction of the cost of email support and live call center agents.  vReps provide personalized and immediate answers to customer questions via two-way natural language conversation, freeing up live service agents for higher-value customer interactions.  In addition to conversational response, vReps leverage existing corporate information sources such as Web pages, customer-centric eBusiness applications, and databases to provide customers the relevant data they seek.

With this validation, NativeMinds’ NeuroServer will triage request escalations and create new service requests within Siebel eBusiness Applications.  Specifically, the integrated solution will assist in limiting the number of requests to the system that do not require true human intervention.  This will reduce customer services costs by avoiding costly human intervention, while increasing customer satisfaction by continuing to provide a high level of customer support.

“The integration of NativeMinds’ software with Siebel eBusiness Applications provides a powerful, engaging natural language self-service component to an already effective solution,” said Andrew de Vries, NativeMinds’ vice president of marketing.  “Siebel Systems’ market leadership in eBusiness applications software has significantly impacted the way companies do business, and the NeuroServer integration adds another important component in this day and age when reducing costs while improving customer service is critical to enterprise success.”

“The integration of NativeMinds’ NeuroServer with Siebel eBusiness Applications delivers our joint customers compatible architectures, enterprise scope, and cutting-edge technology to provide a unique, seamless solution.  It allows companies to efficiently build dynamic customer relationships and better manage their multichannel and self-service solutions,” said Michael Straub, Alliances Technical Director at Siebel Systems.

Siebel Systems provides an integrated family of eBusiness applications software, enabling multichannel sales, marketing, and customer service systems to be deployed over the Web, call centers, field, reseller channels, retail and dealer networks.  Siebel Systems forms alliances with proven technology leaders to deliver tangible business benefits throughout the enterprise.  The Siebel Validation Program applies rigorous technical scrutiny to evaluate and document integrated third-party solutions.  By choosing           Siebel eBusiness Applications and validated partner solutions, Siebel Systems’ customers can pursue a best-of-class software acquisition strategy and quickly deploy the very best solution available.
