MOTIVE COMMUNICATIONS AND SHAMAN CORPORATION PARTNER TO IMPROVE USERS' E-SUPPORT EXPERIENCES

Partnership allows software reliability management for users and administrators through Motive's e-support portal

AUSTIN, Texas - December 13, 1999 - Motive Communications, the established leader in e-support, and Shaman Corporation, the leading provider of software reliability management (SRM) services and products, will partner to help their customers better select, integrate and deploy e-support solutions that will further reduce the waste, cost and user dissatisfaction evident with traditional support solutions.

This partnership will allow customers using Shaman's technology to do self-checks on their own systems to determine what bugs are present in their software and which software updates should be applied, downloaded and then installed, all via Motive's e-support portal. Alternatively, help desk or support staff can check system images and deploy fixes and updates using Shaman's software distribution tools. The integration of Motive's e-support and Shaman's software reliability management products creates a solution that significantly reduces the effort, time and cost demands placed on customers.
