Well-Respected Industry Veteran to Provide Insight and Expertise to Motive as it Enters High Growth Phase
August 18, 1999, Austin, TX - Motive Communications, Inc., the pioneer and leader in support chain automation solutions for e-support, today announced the appointment of Ross Garber, co-founder of Vignette Corporation, to Motive's Board of Directors.As CEO from 1995 through June 1998, Garber grew Vignette into the premier provider of Internet relationship management software solutions. Garber's concentrated efforts on building the company's vision, strategy and culture and raising more than $36 million in private equity financing culminated with Vignette's completion of one of 1999's most successful Internet software IPOs. Garber, who was named 1999 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the software category, also serves as a director and advisor for several other Internet related start-up companies and industry groups.
