Sound Imaging Selects Metrix 4 Application Suite

Medical equipment company chooses “Cadillac” of service automation solutions to leverage service as a go-to-market strategy and further differentiate product service offerings for its customers.

Waukesha, Wis. — October 1, 2001 — Metrix, Inc. (www.metrix.com) announced today that Englewood, NJ based Sound Imaging Corporation has selected the
Metrix 4 application suite to manage crucial business operations. Sound Imaging provides third party repair services to hospitals, clinics and other facilities for ultra sound equipment from multiple manufacturers.

“We looked at a number of different solutions, and in the end we decided that the best way to show our customers our commitment to the highest levels of service was to select the best service automation package for our own use,” said Jeff Logel, chief financial officer for Sound Imaging.

Sound Imaging will utilize Metrix to manage their complex contract and warranties needs, as well as track $500K worth of inventory down to the serialized part at any location.  Additionally, Metrix will enable them to completely automate all of their customer data including installed equipment, contacts, service histories, and allow for automated dispatch capabilities.

“Metrix will enable us to consolidate all of our customer information, send out notifications when product preventative maintenance is required, and give us the flexibility in managing contracts to meet what the original manufacturers are doing.  Given our pricing structure, those abilities put us in an excellent position,” said Logel.

“We felt strongly about the value that we could provide Sound Imaging,” said Harvey Shovers, vice president of sales and marketing for Metrix. “Our experience in third party repair, especially with medical equipment, as well as the ability to maintain the contract information and customer data provides a fast ROI for companies like Sound Imaging.  Additionally, the scalability and standard functionality of Metrix 4 will provide lasting returns as Sound Imaging grows, including web self-service to their customers and empowering their field force with Techlink®, our mobile field force solution.”
