Metrix, Inc. Appoints Doug Peters Vice President, e-Business Strategies

New position builds on Metrix’s commitment to and leadership position in e-Service solutions

WAUKESHA, WI - September 5, 2000 - Metrix, Inc. today announced the promotion of Doug Peters to the newly created position of Vice President, e-Business Strategies. Peters previously held the position of Director of Sales, North America.

“We felt the need for this position considering the rapid changes occurring in the marketplace. Doug’s e-Business background made him the ideal choice for this position,” said Larry Laux, president and CEO of Metrix. "This new position will provide him greater influence on the evaluation of new strategies for Metrix, and call upon his background and experience in e-Business. Doug understands, as we all do at Metrix, that there is no e-Business without e-Service. Doug Peters will enable our clients to achieve the e-Service goals which are a part of their e-Business strategy.”

While Peters will continue to work with the sales force, he will now be responsible for increasing the penetration of Metrix in the e-Business marketplace with e-Service components and mobile solutions. “I’m extremely grateful to the board for this opportunity,” said Peters. “e-Business continues to show a large number of new areas to capitalize on. I look forward to working with our staff, clients, and Alliance partners to ensure the development and release of those products and services that complement our existing product family as well as support and extend our clients e-Service strategies.”

Peters is a 15-year veteran in global high-tech sales and business development programs. Prior to his positions at Metrix, he was a founder and Vice President of Business Development at Avicon, a Boston, MA organization that provides e-Business and supply chain consulting to the fortune 500. Additionally, he has held executive positions at C-bridge Internet Solutions, Cambridge, MA and Atria Software in Lexington, MA.

A graduate of Northeastern University (B.S. Electrical Engineering), Peters has a solid technical background and has worked as a consulting engineer for the Mitre Corporation as well as a Systems Engineer and Sales Manager for NeXT Computer.
