WAUKESHA, WIS. (April 14, 2003) -- Metrix, Inc., (www.metrix.com) (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies) an international leader in product service automation software, announces that its First Quarter 2003 license revenue increased by 75 percent over the company’s profitable Q1 of 2002.
The Q1 2003 growth is due to wins both in Europe and the United States for the Metrix 4e eProductService™ application suite and the integrated Techlink® 4e product for remote field service.
"We are especially pleased that the momentum we built in 2002 has not only continued, but actually accelerated in the first quarter of 2003,” said Larry Laux, Metrix CEO. “Both our total revenue and new wins grew significantly in comparison to Q1 of 2002 and Q4 of 2002, which were both strong and profitable quarters.
            Metrix’s Q1 of 2003 wins include:
·       Motorola Broadband (broadband.motorola.com) has purchased the Metrix 4e modules for: Repair Center, Contracts & Warranties, and Inventory & Logistics. Motorola Broadband is using the Metrix eProductService solution to integrate their North American repair centers.
·       Powerware Europe (www.powerware.com), a division of Invensys, is implementing the Metrix 4e product suite to automate their field service organizations throughout Europe.
·       Whitehall Jewellers (www.whitehalljewellers.com), a leading national specialty retailer of fine jewelry with over 371 stores in 38 states, purchased the Metrix 4e Contracts & Warranties module to manage contracts for their hundreds of thousands of customers in North America.
·       Ahold’s Stop & Shop (www.stopandshop.com) retail operating company will be utilizing the Metrix 4e suite and wireless Techlink solution to automate communication with and support for its field technicians as well as automate inventory control at Stop & Shop stores.
·       LinksPoint (www.linkspoint.com) and the City of New York (www.nyc.gov) will be using the Metrix 4e Advanced Scheduling Optimization tool powered by Pointserve® to handle calls and schedule the city’s building inspectors for all five boroughs of New York City.

In addition, according to Mr. Laux, “ Our wins are coming not only in traditionally key markets such as medical equipment, but also in new areas including contract and warranty management for retail and scheduling optimization.
