Citrix iForum Conference, Orlando, Florida - October 5, 2004 - M-Tech Information Technology (Company

Studies) , Inc., a leading provider of identity management solutions, today announced the integration between P-Synch, the company’s leading password management solution and MetaFrame Password Manager which adds significant capabilities to the Citrix product. The new capabilities include self-service password reset for forgotten or expired passwords, which eliminates the need for employees to call the help desk, enabling organizations to reduce password-related calls by 85 percent..
P-Synch will now allow Citrix customers to pre-enroll with internal Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials. This feature will expedite the subsequent deployment of Citrix MetaFrame Password Manager by skipping the manual enrollment phase. With a completed P-Synch integration, organizations can deploy SSO to all users with no additional enrollment required, after a cycle period where each user changes their password. This process eliminates a major hurdle for organizations that are deploying an enterprise wide SSO system, namely acquiring current user login IDs and passwords.
“Customers integrating P-Synch into their MetaFrame Password Manager environment are achieving significant cost reductions, both at deployment time and in ongoing help desk call volume,” said Robert Miller, vice president of marketing for M-Tech. “The combination of the Citrix and M-Tech products delivers the best of both worlds: single sign-on and password management.”
In addition, the P-Synch integration also provides MetaFrame Password Manager customers with assisted password reset capability, to limit the security privileges needed by help desk staff. This provides help desk analysts with access to user authentication data, to quickly and securely resolve password related calls. The new integration also allows users to obtain a unique password on shared target systems. P-Synch can now be configured to periodically change user passwords on assigned systems and automatically update user SSO credentials. Users continue to sign in with their primary password, and are unaware of this security measure. Behind the scenes, P-Synch keeps user profiles current with ever-changing randomized passwords.
The P-Synch integration with Citrix MetaFrame Password Manager is available now. Contact M-Tech for more information at 403.233.0740.
