IEX Solution Renews Rockwell FirstPoint Contact Certification

Richardson, Texas – July 30, 2002 – IEX, a Tekelec company (Nasdaq: TKLC) and a leading provider of contact center productivity solutions, today announced that its TotalView® Workforce Management solution has successfully passed the Rockwell FirstPoint Contact certification process and is recognized as verified software.  Certification is offered exclusively to Rockwell FirstPoint Contact Alliance Partners.

The IEX solution has been tested by Rockwell FirstPoint Contact and determined to be compatible with the FirstPoint Enterprise 2002 and FirstPoint Business Edition products.  The integration was tested through a verification process in the Rockwell FirstPoint Contact Alliance Partner Verification Laboratory.  During the testing process, technical specifications and engineering support were provided to develop a seamless interface between the TotalView solution and Rockwell FirstPoint’s products.
