IEX Announces Distribution Partnership With Internexus-CTi

Agreement Extends IEX Business Presence in Spain and Portugal

 Richardson, Texas – August 1, 2001 – IEX, a Tekelec company (Nasdaq:  TKLC) and a leading provider of contact center solutions, today announced a distribution agreement with Internexus-CTi, a Grupo DYCSA company, and a global provider in the contact center arena based in Madrid.  Under the terms of the agreement, Internexus-CTi will resell the IEX TotalView(TM) Workforce Management product to the growing Spanish and Portuguese markets.

According to Datamonitor, workforce management software revenues in Western Europe are rising and expect to exceed $65 million by 2003.  “IEX has a strong commitment to its international customers to provide convenient access to IEX solutions and support,” said Art Olender, International Director of Contact Center Solutions for IEX. “The agreement with Internexus-CTi strengthens our presence in Western and Southern Europe and positions the TotalView product as the workforce management solution of choice in the Spanish market.”
