This latest course offering, "Introduction to Project Management," which will debut at the HDI University being held December

Project management skills are increasingly important in IT service and support organizations, and provide immediate benefits in managing customer expectations and better evaluating ROI, for example.
"In a world where seven out of 10 projects fail to meet expectations, project management skills have become more important than ever. As support organizations become more strategic, HDI has decided that offering project management training to our members and customers is critical," said Judy Benda, executive director of HDI training and certification.
"As a long-time PMI-approved provider, Looking Glass Development has been dedicated to offering standards-based training to our customers in order to improve business processes in organizations around the U.S.,"
said Martin VanDerSchouw, president and CEO of Looking Glass and president of the Mile Hi Chapter of the Project Management Institute.
"With project management skills becoming more important to the support industry, we are excited to work with HDI to provide this training at its December event."

Its premiere standards document, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOKR Guide), is recognized throughout the world as a standard for managing projects in today's marketplace. The PMBOKR Guide is approved as an American National Standard (ANS) by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE).
