PLEASANTON, CALIF. (November 10, 2004) After posting record-setting results for its fiscal year 2004, FrontRange Solutions (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies), the global leader in Service Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for the small- to mid-size enterprise (SME) and distributed enterprise (DE) markets, has earned a spot on the 2004 Software 500 list of the nation’s largest software companies.

Each year Software Magazine publishes the Software 500, a list of the nation’s largest software companies, along with a report on the health and direction of the software industry. FrontRange is listed #203 on the prestigious list, after posting FY2004 financial results that featured a 3700 percent increase in profits compared to the previous fiscal year.

FrontRange CEO Michael McCloskey considers the Software 500 listing to be more validation of the company’s successful strategy. “We are pleased with our selection to the Software 500. We have worked hard to become a respected software company that provides valued products to our customers. Our revenues grew over 25 percent from Q1 FY 2004 to Q4 FY 2004, and we hope to move up on the list during the next year”.

“The 2004 Software 500 results reflect a software and services market that showed mixed results overall but strong positive growth in segments that meet the needs of industry in system-integration services, infrastructure management and security,” Desmond wrote in his analysis of the Software 500.

Moving ahead of these trends, FrontRange initiated plans last year to fortify its leadership in the Service Management (HEAT®) and CRM (GoldMine®) sectors, while expanding its reach into growth areas such as infrastructure management and Internet Protocol (IP) contact centers. The company also committed itself to a channel distribution strategy that emphasizes the vertical expertise of its systems-integrator partners.

“We’re focused on delivering families of solutions specifically developed for unique market segments within the SME and Distributed Enterprise market,” McCloskey explained. “In addition to products that help organizations manage a wide range of business opportunities, we’re working to provide complete Service Management capabilities to IT and Technical Support Centers within the SME and Distributed Enterprise market. The knowledge and experience of our partners in key industry segments is a natural and powerful complement.”
