Eyretel Joins the Cisco AVVID Partner Program

MediaStoreIP meets Cisco AVVID Program Requirements for Interoperability

Leatherhead, UK, September 16 2002 - Eyretel plc, a global provider of voice and data recording, quality monitoring and analysis systems for the optimization of contact centers and other customer contact environments, today announced that it has joined the Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice and Video Integrated Data) Partner Program as an IP Telephony Solutions member. Eyretel's IP Telephony recording system - MediaStoreIP - provides customers worldwide with sophisticated, scalable, software-based voice and data recording and analysis applications that are verified by an independent testing organization to operate with Cisco System's IP Communications telephony system.

The Cisco AVVID Partner Program sets criteria for interoperability testing by independent third parties and is a co-marketing program enabling leading product and services firms to deploy innovative e-business solutions. The program provides enterprise customers with information regarding Cisco AVVID Partner products and services that an independent testing facility has tested, verified and found to interoperate with Cisco networking technology.

Eyretel's IP Telephony recording suite interoperates with the Cisco CallManager and Cisco IP Contact Center (IPCC) products allowing Cisco IP phone users - in traditional contact centers, on financial trading floors, or in public safety and security centers - to record calls made on Cisco's CallManager or IPCC products for risk management, compliance or quality monitoring purposes.

Cisco CallManager is the software-based call-processing component of the Cisco IP Communication solution. Cisco CallManager software extends enterprise telephony features and capabilities to packet telephony network devices such as IP phones, media processing devices, voice-over-IP (VoIP) gateways, and multimedia applications. The Cisco IPCC is an automatic call director that provides intelligent call routing, network-to-desktop computer telephony integration (CTI), and multimedia contact management for contact center agents.

"We are extremely pleased to have successfully completed the Cisco AVVID Partner Program interoperability verification testing for voice recorders," said Nathan George, director of IP telephony at Eyretel. "This, combined with the successful live deployment of MediaStoreIP with Cisco customers worldwide, further validates the success of Cisco's architectural platform and Eyretel's position as a leader in IP telephony recording."

"Eyretel and Cisco support open, standards-based architectures and share a commitment to interoperable solutions. Through this vision, the Cisco AVVID Partner Program delivers the power of choice to enterprises - the ability to extend the Cisco end-to-end architecture with our members' world-class products and technologies," said David Tucker, director of product marketing for Cisco's Enterprise Voice, Video Business Unit. "With Cisco AVVID partner offerings such as Eyretel's MediaStoreIP, customers can deploy a broad range of solutions, which foster innovation and drive rapid adoption of business-critical technologies."

Customers using Eyretel's IP Telephony recording system with Cisco's CallManager include Bankers Bank (Atlanta, Georgia), Calamos Asset Management (Chicago, Illinois), City of Clovis (Clovis, California), eSpeed (Rochelle Park, New Jersey), Kazootek Technologies (Vancouver, Canada), Marlin Central Monitoring (Kissimmee, Florida), Threadneedle Investments in the U.K. and Canada's Ministry of Justice (Montreal, Canada).

At the recent Innovation through Convergence Expo, Eyretel's IP Telephony recording product was recognized by Cisco's IP Telephony User Group as the application having 'The Most Compelling Return on Investment'. MediaStoreIP, which was recently re-branded as Contact Store IP, is an integral part of Eyretel's Contact 7000™ enterprise recording, monitoring and analysis product family, allowing customers to protect and leverage their investments in their traditional telephony infrastructure, as they make the transition to IP Telephony.
