Dr. Chris Blair, Eyretel CTO, to Deliver Keynote Address at Global Infosec 2002 Conference at United Nations

Will discuss key technology strategies for law enforcement agencies and enterprises to counter terrorist and criminal use of multi-media communications

Calverton, MD, September 4, 2002 - Eyretel plc, a global provider of voice and data recording, quality monitoring and analysis systems for the optimization of contact centers and other customer contact environments, announced that Dr. Chris Blair, Eyretel Chief Technology Officer, will deliver a keynote address at the upcoming Global InfoSec 2002 Conference at the United Nations in New York City.  In an address titled “Communications Surveillance Issues and Opportunities In A Multi-Media World”, Chris will discuss some of the key technology strategies that law enforcement agencies and enterprises should consider in order to counter growing terrorist and criminal use of multi-media communications.

The Global InfoSec conference on controlling and assuring security in government and enterprise environments, will include segments on information security, cyber security, security, network security and assurance, tracking data, counter terrorist operations, e-commerce and e-government.

According to Dr. Blair, “In today's data-centric world, voice communications is often a forgotten aspect of organizational security, compliance and risk management strategies.  In reality, recording of both voice and data communications, with real-time and subsequent analysis, should be an integral part of the proactive and investigative aspects of government and enterprise security regimes - while balancing the privacy rights of individuals and organizations.”

Chris will also participate in a conference panel, moderated by Stan Gibson, Executive Editor of eWEEK Magazine, where panelists will discuss issues such as disaster management, contingency planning and general security facing enterprises and public sector organizations.
