RightNow Technologies Expands its License of Expertcity’s DesktopStreaming™

Web-based CRM leader RightNow Technologies enhances the service level of its customer support by expanding its use of DesktopStreaming

SANTA BARBARA, CA and BOZEMAN, MT August 20, 2001 – Expertcity, Inc., the leading provider of Web-based remote-access and customer support technologies, announced today that RightNow Technologies, Inc., a leader in Internet customer service, has expanded its license of Expertcity DesktopStreaming online customer support solution. DesktopStreaming allows RightNow’s customer support representatives to assist their customers in real time.

"We were early adopters of DesktopStreaming and have been very happy with the advantages it has given us in serving our customers," says Rob Irizarry, RightNow Technologies Director of Technical Support. "We have expanded our license of DesktopStreaming as it is clear to us that the high-touch remote hardware diagnostics capabilities provided by Expertcity's technology add significant value to our customer support efforts, making the process of support delivery much more efficient and cost-effective. Because we are in the business of delivering high-end customer service solutions, our own customer service must be top of the line. We evaluated other potential tools in this space, but none could provide DesktopStreaming's feature set and ease of use. We are pleased to expand our use of DesktopStreaming as the response from our customers has been extremely positive."

“We are proud to include RightNow Technologies in our growing list of CRM companies that are using DesktopStreaming to support their customers,” says John Greathouse, Expertcity’s CFO and senior vice president of strategic development. “RightNow has a long track record of innovation in the CRM market, so it is no surprise that they were among the first customer service companies to recognize the value of our technology. The fact that they have expanded their initial license of DesktopStreaming is significant validation of the high quality, reliability and effectiveness of our unique customer support solution.”
