Everdream Announces HP as Desktop PC Provider of Choice for Everdream Customers

Enhancements to Everdream's DSL service also offered

Fremont, Calif. – November 27, 2000 – Everdream Corporation, a leading provider of outsourced information technology (IT) services to small and medium offices, today announced an agreement with the Hewlett-Packard Company to make HP Vectra VL400 desktop computers the desktop PC of choice for its subscription computing service, further enhancing Everdream’s suite of IT products and services. Everdream currently uses HP Omnibook 6000 notebook PCs for its Dreambook Mobile Computing Package users and the HP NetServer for small office LAN solutions.

Having pioneered the concept of subscription computing, Everdream provides small to medium offices with a complete integrated IT solution. Services include a 24/7 solution center, secure automated online backup, virus protection, instant bug fixes, help, diagnosis and repair, self-healing capabilities and unlimited nationwide Internet access including Web-based email – all utilizing HP desktop and notebook PCs, and NetServers.  The business service and support services Everdream offers its customers are backed by Everdream’s guarantee, which promises accountability for PC support problems and protection of data.

The HP Vectra VL400 desktop PC is designed for use by businesses and has consistently received high marks in PC Magazine’s annual Service and Reliability surveys. “Today’s business owner wants the confidence of knowing that they have the reliability of a brand name computer system as the basis for their IT needs,” said Everdream CEO Gary Griffiths. “The combination of HP’s venerable brand with Everdream’s unprecedented service and support is unbeatable.”

Everdream also announced enhancements to its existing DSL subscription services. Everdream customers can now select from a wide range of DSL performance levels and price-points, allowing effective solutions for needs ranging from the home office to offices of 50 or more employees. As with the current offerings, the expanded DSL services provide a one-stop service that allows customers to dial one number for all their DSL setup and management needs. Once a customer places an order, Everdream does the rest – coordinates with the telephone company, tracks the entire installation process, sets up the secure firewall, and provides customers with assistance and expertise to configure the DSL connection to their Everdream systems.

Today’s business owner knows the value of the Internet, but in many instances has not been able to take advantage of its vast potential because of the traditional use of dial- up modems. Everdream’s enhanced DSL service allows small offices to access the Web up to fifty times faster, and to experience increased productivity by integrating the Internet into their daily business routine.

“Everdream DSL not only saves my business over $200 per month in Internet connection costs, but it also offers invaluable peace of mind by having one number to call for any issues relating to my Information Technology,” commented Robert Young, Everdream customer and owner of All Premium Inc.
