Companies Expand Partnership Across Product Lines to Offer Integrated Security Solutions With Clear and Rapid ROI

BEDFORD, Mass. and FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Nov. 12, 2002 — RSA Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security®, and Courion® Corporation, a leading provider of identity management lifecycle solutions, today announced an expanded strategic partnership that helps joint customers provision, secure, and manage trusted user identities and access privileges across heterogeneous e-business environments.  The centerpiece of the extended strategic partnership is integration between RSA ClearTrust® Web access management software and Courion’s AccountCourier™ user provisioning and PasswordCourier® password management solutions, both of which are now certified as RSA Secured® RSA ClearTrust Ready.

Courion’s AccountCourier has been enhanced with the ability to grant, revoke, and modify user accounts and entitlements on Web portals managed by RSA ClearTrust software, enabling e-businesses to help streamline and secure new hire, employee termination, and business partner and customer acquisition processes.  The integration is designed to enable joint customers to provide both full self-service provisioning and delegated administration of access rights to authorized business managers, HR managers, and IT staff for virtually any enterprise system, application and Web portal.

Courion’s PasswordCourier now provides self-service password reset and synchronization for RSA ClearTrust Web software, enabling end users to securely reset their RSA ClearTrust software password without having to call a help desk agent, and synchronize their password with other enterprise passwords not managed by RSA ClearTrust software.

Together, the integrated solutions help enable e-businesses to efficiently manage the digital identities and access rights of employees, business partners, and customers throughout the entire life cycle of business relationships.

RSA ClearTrust software and Courion AccountCourier
The new AccountCourier Account Management Module (AMM) for RSA ClearTrust software is designed to enable accounts and user entitlements to be instantly granted or revoked on Web portals managed by RSA ClearTrust software in near real time, without manual intervention.  Business managers, HR managers, and delegated IT staff can leverage AccountCourier’s Web-based policies and workflow automation to more efficiently and securely provision or de-provision access to critical IT resources in response to new hire, employee termination, and business partner and customer acquisition events.  

RSA ClearTrust software and Courion PasswordCourier
The new PasswordCourier Password Management Module (PMM) for RSA ClearTrust software is designed to provide self-service password reset and enable passwords to be synchronized with other enterprise system and application passwords not managed by RSA ClearTrust software.  The integration also enables information security staffs to enforce stronger password policies for RSA ClearTrust software without fear of increased help desk or administrative burden.

RSA SecurID two-factor authentication and Courion PasswordCourier
The PasswordCourier PMM for RSA SecurID software integrates with RSA ACE/Server® software to provide self-service password reset for RSA SecurID PINs and passwords, and enables users to quickly and securely regain access to systems protected by two-factor authentication when they forget their RSA SecurID software PIN or password.  

RSA BSAFE encryption software and Courion’s Identity Management Solutions
Courion licenses RSA BSAFE security development kits, and uses RSA BSAFE encryption technologies throughout Courion’s AccountCourier, PasswordCourier, CertificateCourier, and ProfileCourier software products to help ensure secure identity lifecycle management.
