Studies), a leading provider of self-service identity management solutions, today announced that its customer, Children’s Hospital Boston, the nation's premier pediatric medical center, will deliver a case study presentation featuring its self-service identity management project at HealthSec Conference & Expo 2004, September 27-29 in Boston. The presentation titled “Identity Management and HIPAA: Achieving Measurable Results on the Road to Compliance,” will be delivered on September 28 at 10:30 a.m. by Paul Scheib, Children’s chief information security officer.
Scheib’s presentation will focus on defining the need for and requirements of an identity management solution within a healthcare organization and its alignment with an organization’s HIPAA compliance efforts. He will discuss Children’s business case for procuring and implementing Courion’s flagship self-service identity management products, AccountCourier® and PasswordCourier®, the immediate operational benefits realized by Children’s and how the hospital plans to expand its identity management capabilities through account provisioning enhancements and, monitoring and auditing of user access and privileges.

Eighty percent said they plan to implement some process for reviewing, confirming or correcting access rights in the future and 43 percent expect to have to attest to user access rights on at least a semi-annual basis.
