The new connectors extend Courion’s self-service password reset, password synchronization and centralized password policy enforcement features to the IDX Web Framework clinical system from IDX Systems Corporation, the EmSTAT emergency department information system from A4 Health Systems and the CliniComp CIS patient record system from CliniComp.  PasswordCourier enables healthcare providers to deliver unassisted, 24x7 password reset services to employees to help eliminate password-related help desk calls and improve service quality while delivering tighter security and HIPAA compliance.  Further, PasswordCourier synchronizes passwords with other commonly used operating systems and applications easing the user login experience and streamlining access to systems healthcare workers need to do their jobs.

PasswordCourier integrates with each healthcare system via modular, agentless connectors developed by Courion.  With Courion’s agentless connector approach, no additional software is required on the health care systems, thereby expediting the deployment of self-service password management and password synchronization to employees.  The new connectors are now in use at Courion’s customer Sharp HealthCare (see related release dated 8/4/03 Sharp HealthCare Deploys Courion’s Identity Management Solutions).
