SLOUGH, England September, 16 2003 Concerto Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRTO), a proven provider of customer interaction management (CIM) solutions, announced the appointment of Peter Nicol as vice president of the company's European and African operations, to succeed Neil McMullan, who is retiring. In this role, Nicol is responsible for managing direct sales and distribution partners, marketing and professional services as well as for driving Concerto Software's expansion into new markets throughout the region.

Nicol brings more than 15 years of international telecommunications experience to his position at Concerto Software. Prior to joining the company, Nicol was Director of Sales for EMEA at Proxim Corporation, a provider of wireless networking systems. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager of EMEA for NMS Communications, where he was responsible for doubling revenue in the region. In addition, he has held management and senior sales positions with Newbridge Networks, CASE Communications and Thorn EMI Datatech.
