Westford, Mass. August 3, 2004 Concerto Software, Inc. (Company
Profile, Past
Stories, Case
Studies), a proven
provider of contact center solutions, today announced that it has acquired
substantially all assets and certain liabilities of Dallas-based Positive
Software Systems, Inc. (PSS), a provider of software solutions that optimize
sales and collection activities for telemarketing companies, service bureaus
and enterprise contact centers. Formerly a Concerto Software Technology
Alliance Partner, PSS is the creator of ECM, a private-label customer
interaction data warehouse product that was exclusively sold and supported
by Concerto Software. With this acquisition, ECM is now a stronger asset in
the company's suite of contact center offerings and will be even more
tightly integrated with Concerto Software's industry-leading outbound
solutions.
ECM enables businesses to develop, execute and manage enterprise-wide
contact strategies from a single, secure server. By centralizing multiple
dialers, customer-facing applications and back-office host systems, ECM
brings cohesion to the often-disjointed operations of contact centers with
geographically dispersed branches and agents. In addition, ECM helps
companies ensure business continuity through its centralized, secure server
architecture, which minimizes downtime and recovery time that can be
associated with outages due to natural disasters.
"With the addition of PSS to the Concerto Software family, we strengthen our
ongoing commitment to being a complete solutions provider for all of our
customers' contact center requirements," said Jim Foy, president and CEO of
Concerto Software. "The acquisition of Positive Software enables us to
continue to build upon our vast and long-standing contact center expertise,
and furthers our position as the 'partner of choice' for all companies
needing to optimize customer-company interactions."
Edward Mandel, Positive Software's president and CEO, joins Concerto
Software as vice president, enterprise solutions. PSS's Dallas operations
will be combined with Concerto Software's existing office in Dallas.
"During the course of our partnership, Positive Software had built strong
technology integrations with Concerto Software's leading outbound solutions,
and now, as one company, we will focus on enhancing those even further to
deliver additional value to our customers," said Mandel. "ECM's
functionality is the perfect complement to any outbound dialing operation
and we are excited to be an integral part of Concerto Software's success
going forward."
