Epicor Appoints Richard Roll to Executive Team as President and Chief Operating Officer

IRVINE, Calif., November 16, 1999 -- Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), today named Richard 'Rick' Roll as its president and chief operating officer (COO) effective immediately. The newly created COO position will report to George Klaus, chairman and CEO of Epicor. Roll will have overall responsibility for Epicor's operations including sales, marketing, professional services, customer support, and research and development.

Roll's appointment as COO further strengthens Epicor's management team as the company executes on its strategic initiatives to deliver integrated eBusiness solutions and leverage the growth opportunities associated with the evolving Internet-enabled business models.

Roll, a seasoned veteran, has 29 years in the technology industry with 13 years at the executive management level. His vast operational background includes worldwide responsibility for sales, marketing, finance, research and development, quality control, and customer service and support. His strong track record in previous positions includes the repositioning of divisions for improved performance, increased market awareness and penetration, reduction of costs by streamlining organizations and improved product development time.

Prior to joining Epicor, Roll was president and CEO of Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions, Inc. (HiKIS), formerly Dataproducts Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Koki with annual revenues of approximately $250 million. During his tenure at HiKIS, he was responsible for delivering successful and profitable technology solutions to market through strong operational controls, continued improvement on performance metrics and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Before joining HiKIS, Roll held a variety of senior management positions with Unisys Corporation (and the former Burroughs Corporation), most recently serving as group vice president for Western U.S. Operations with annual revenues of over $270 million.
