BROADVISION AND CHORDIANT FORM GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP TO DEVELOP INTEGRATED CONTACT CENTER SOLUTION

Andersen Consulting First to Deploy Combined Solution for Personalized, Multi-Channel Customer Sales and Service

LONDON and CUPERTINO, Calif., December 14, 2000 – BroadVision Inc. (Nasdaq: BVSN), the leading worldwide supplier of personalized e-business applications, and Chordiant Software (Nasdaq: CHRD), provider of a unified CRM solution for companies with extreme IT requirements, today announced a global partnership to provide an integrated CRM solution that features highly personalized sales and service via the Internet, telephone, email or retail outlets.

By combining BroadVision One-To-One® applications and Chordiant’s Unified CRM Solution, the partnership is expected to result in a more complete solution for presenting personalized offers through a wide range of customer communication channels.  The companies anticipate providing a solution that delivers a real-time, single view of each customer; multi-channel integration; a consistent, unified message with every customer interaction through business process automation; and rapid deployment of this powerful CRM solution.

BroadVision and Chordiant will be working with Andersen Consulting to deliver this solution.  As Simon Jenkins, Partner of Andersen Consulting comments  “By sharing customer data and business rules across your company’s Web site and contact center environments you will improve customer interactions by making them more relevant and your propositions more compelling. This will lead to greater profitability and increased customer satisfaction.”

Important features of Chordiant Unified CRM Solution are the ability to recognize users and individuals, manage knowledge domains relevant to each individual’s relationship with the company, and provide a single view of the customer across the enterprise. Chordiant’s CRM infrastructure software supports a wide range of communications channels, including the Web, mobile devices, telephone, fax and email.

“Integrating customer data between your Web site and contact center is an absolute necessity in today’s eCRM market,” said Cliff Apsey, Vice President Solutions Marketing of BroadVision US. “Furthermore, recent research shows that personalization and unification of multiple customer contact points are at the top of the list of requirements when selecting an eCRM solution.  This combination of BroadVision’s One-to-One web applications and Chordiant’s Unified CRM Solution provides a fully integrated best-of-breed solution.”

BroadVision One-To-One Enterprise provides a stable, flexible, scalable platform for market-leading e-Business solutions.  A highly tuned application platform, BroadVision One-To-One Enterprise provides personalization, content management, analytics, and wireless support for BroadVision’s suite of applications.

“We anticipate that with this solution suppliers will be able to develop better relationships with their customers by delivering information in the context of recent activity,” said Sam Spadafora, CEO for Chordiant. “For example, a customer could spend time browsing on the Web site and, when they call the contact center, the agent is aware of their product interest and able to help them in a timely and accurate manner.”
