Chordiant to Deliver Comprehensive Care to Signal Iduna's Customers
German Insurer to Deploy Chordiant's Entire Customer Relationship Management Platform
CUPERTINO, Calif.--Nov. 29, 2001--Chordiant Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHRD - news), a leader in Unifying Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions, today
announced that Signal Iduna, one of the leading insurance groups in Germany, has selected Chordiant's powerful CRM software to optimize Signal Iduna's customer service.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
¶ Signal Iduna will be the first enterprise in the world to use
Chordiant's innovative new JX Architecture(TM) to build a comprehensive system of customer relationship management. The German insurer believes this project will
empower it to derive even more accurately-tailored customer services from proven business processes, improving its overall service and shoring up the company's long-term
business success.
The first project phase involves setting up a service center at two locations to provide over ten million customers a convenient and efficient way of communicating with Signal
Iduna -- in addition to the insurer's already potent field organization. Signal Iduna plans to subsequently deploy the Chordiant solution enterprise-wide across a range of
additional communication channels.
``Above all, it was the flexibility of Chordiant's CRM platform that convinced us,'' explained Michael Petmecky, the member of the Signal Iduna Board of Directors who is in
charge of information technology at the Signal Iduna Group. ``The platform will put us in a position to translate our enterprise-specific business processes into genuinely
optimized, and personalized customer service.''
``This order is very important to us,'' said Jurgen Neubauer, managing director of Chordiant Software, Germany. ``It comes as proof that Chordiant's JX Architecture(TM) is
powerful and flexible enough to meet even the most exacting demands. We are firmly convinced that our solution will help Signal Iduna to further consolidate its leadership
position on the German market.''
