Wireless Leader Proximus `Belgacom Mobile' Selects Chordiant for Highly Targeted Marketing Campaigns

Campaigns Will be Created for Multi-Stage, Ongoing Dialogue With Customers

CUPERTINO, Calif. USA & BRUSSELS--Nov. 8, 2001-- Chordiant Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHRD - news), a leader in Unifying Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions, announced today that Proximus, a subsidiary of Belgacom and the leading mobile operator in Belgium with over 4 million customers, has chosen Chordiant as the platform for its marketing operations. Using the Chordiant solution, Proximus will increase its ability to develop an effective campaign management environment that allows the company to perform a multi-stage, ongoing dialogue with its customers.

The Chordiant solution will help Proximus to effectively define and manage highly targeted campaigns, including up-selling, cross-selling and customer retention campaigns. Chordiant Software will further allow the mobile operator to explore its customer's behavior and focus on particular customer profiles. Proximus furthermore plans to tailor offers to its customers and contact them through a variety of channels, such as direct mail, e-mail, telemarketing, Internet, and personal contacts. The Chordiant software will help Proximus to define new campaigns, monitor existing campaigns, and evaluate and report on the status and overall impact of different campaigns. In all Proximus aims at servicing its 4 million customers more effectively.
