CUPERTINO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 28, 2003 -- Chordiant Software (Company
Profile, Past
Stories, Case
Studies), Inc. (NasdaqNM:CHRD - News), today announced that Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has extended its use of Chordiant Marketing Director to
include Chordiant Online Marketing Director. Fairmont is the largest luxury hotel management company in North America, with a collection of world-class resorts and city
center hotels operating in 42 properties throughout six countries including Canada, the U.S.A. and Mexico. As part of its loyalty program, Fairmont is using Chordiant
Marketing Director to increase service levels among its President's Club, which has over 250,000 members.
Fairmont's use of Chordiant Marketing Director is enabling its customer loyalty program to offer a higher level of service by highlighting the privileges and benefits of
membership in Fairmont President's Club. The luxury hotel chain has now expanded this capability by deploying Chordiant Online Marketing Director. The market-leading
campaign management software will allow Fairmont to develop deeper relationships with premier customers through online marketing as well as employing other traditional
direct marketing channels.
"Our implementation of Chordiant Marketing Director solutions provided us with a cost effective and consistent means of communicating with customers via multiple
channels," said Brain Richardson, vice president of marketing at Fairmont. "Expanding the Chordiant relationship demonstrates our commitment to providing our
frequent guests with relevant programs and offers that satisfy their travel needs."
Prior to using Chordiant Marketing Director, Fairmont relied on various manual programs to manage relationships with its President's Club guests. The decision to deploy
Chordiant Marketing Director and Chordiant Online Marketing Director was motivated by Fairmont's need to access their customer communications history as a means of
maintaining the integrity of key information. A critical factor in Fairmont's decision to extend the usage of Chordiant was the ability to help provide consistent messages
across all channels through the automation of marketing offers. This, coupled with the proven ability to track previous guest inquires and hotel responses, supports more
consistent, efficient and effective customer contact.
"Our Marketing Director solutions allow Fairmont to generate guest loyalty and growth of high-value guest retention through their rewards program," said Stephen
Kelly, Chordiant's president and chief executive officer. "Fairmont's use of Chordiant Marketing Director and Chordiant Online Marketing Director for its President's Club
illustrates how customer-focused companies can personalize relationships to drive revenue and create loyalty among its highest value guest base."
