Hutchison 3G Selects Chordiant for Real-Time CRMChordiant Selected as the Global CRM Supplier for 3G Mobile OperatorCUPERTINO, Calif. and LONDON---Aug. 14, 2001-- Hutchison 3G UK, holder of the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) license for the largest block of wireless spectrum in the U.K., today announced that it has selected Chordiant Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHRD - news), a leader in Unifying Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions, as its strategic CRM supplier for real-time customer interaction management. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.Chordiant will handle operational CRM functions for Hutchison 3G subscribers across multiple channels. This will allow Hutchison 3G to provide an unrivalled customer experience aimed toward maximizing customer satisfaction and retention. The system is expected to be initially implemented in the U.K. and later made available in every country where Hutchison Whampoa has 3G interests. Hutchison 3G's unified, enterprise-wide CRM approach is expected to strengthen its ability to offer totally personalized services to customers, improving Average Return Per User (ARPU).
