Blue Pumpkin Software Reports Record Third Quarter

Blue Pumpkin Software Reports Enterprises worldwide adopt PrimeTime workforce management solution


Sunnyvale, Calif. – October 31, 2000 - Strong demand for improved contact center efficiency has contributed to the continued growth of Blue Pumpkin Software, a leader in workforce management solutions for customer contact centers. Blue Pumpkin’s third quarter revenues were up more than 20 percent from the previous quarter, and increased nearly 100 percent over the same period last year.

The company added 74 new customers in the third quarter including Time Warner Cable, Keane, Western Wireless and 3M.

Blue Pumpkin’s product innovation was recognized during the quarter across the industry, first with the award for Best Scheduling or Workforce Management Tool at the 12th Annual ICCM Call Center Management Conference & Exposition, held in Chicago in August. Other recognition for product excellence received this past quarter included a Customer Support Management ICCM Best of Show Award; a TMC labs Industry Innovation Award; and the only Gold Award for Excellence given at the prestigious Call Centre Solutions U.K. in Birmingham, England in September.


New initiatives from Blue Pumpkin this quarter included the release of PrimeTime Exchange, a new open integration platform that will seamlessly bridge its award-winning PrimeTime forecasting and scheduling solutions with industry-leading multi-contact communications technologies. This release was supported by integration announcements from key Blue Pumpkin partners including Avaya Communications, Cisco Systems, eGain Communications, Kana Communication, Nortel Networks, Quintus Corporation and Siemens Information and Communication Networks, Inc., Additionally, Blue Pumpkin launched its Alliance Partner Program to provide marketing support to alliance partners for integrating and promoting Blue Pumpkin's workforce management solutions to their clients. This program complements the company's existing Channel Partner Program.

Global expansion continued with the opening of a new office in Germany, to add to current offices in Italy, Japan, Australia, Canada, and an International headquarters just outside London, U.K.  Further expansion in Europe will be led by the appointment of Julian Harper as vice president for European, Middle Eastern and African Markets.

Other important appointments included Nilesh Shah as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Blue Pumpkin, Mr. Shah was a partner at KPMG, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, where he held increasingly responsible positions over his 17-year career.
