In the first fiscal quarter ending August 31, Blue Pumpkin reported another consecutive quarter of customer growth, carrying forward the momentum from the previous profitable fiscal year. Compared to the same quarter last fiscal year, overall revenue grew by 4%, with bookings growth of 15%. "We experienced our fifth consecutive quarter of profitability and remain on track to have a very successful year," stated Nilesh Shah, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Blue Pumpkin.
Released in August, Frost & Sullivan’s report on the global agent performance optimization market attributed Blue Pumpkin’s worldwide growth to several factors: "A feature rich and visionary product line, excellent global distribution strategy, effective marketing communications and a focus on optimizing people and process in addition to technology are the some of the reasons behind Blue-Pumpkin’s success in this market."
The company is dominating many strategic markets, including India – a hot spot for contact center outsourcing and a country in which Frost & Sullivan also named Blue Pumpkin as the single largest workforce management player. In Q1, Blue Pumpkin continued to sign on scores of new and existing customers worldwide, such as: Citibank Taiwan, NEC Netherlands, Sephora.com, Sundance Catalog and VCustomer India.

Also in Q1, Blue Pumpkin captured the prestigious "Best of Show" honor in the competitive field of performance management solutions at the industry’s largest event, ICCM 2004 Chicago.
