CRM Headline News

Sunnyvale, Calif. – October 1, 2003 – Blue Pumpkin (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies) , an industry leader in enterprise workforce optimization solutions, has been ranked for the second consecutive year in the top quarter of the Inc 500 list, Inc magazine’s study of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

For over 1,000 customers including many Global 2000 enterprises, Blue Pumpkin solutions help contact centers balance and optimize customer loyalty, employee satisfaction and profitability.  Securing the #125 spot on the 2003 Inc 500 list, Blue Pumpkin showed 1,266% revenue growth for the last five years as it led the new business market of workforce optimization.

"Blue Pumpkin is positioned extremely well in a growing market," said Paul Stockford, chief analyst at Saddletree Research.  "With a proven understanding of the needs of the workforce optimization market and a demonstrated ability to innovate, we expect to see Blue Pumpkin remain a driving force in the global workforce optimization industry well into the future."

Contributing to the company’s growth and ongoing success is the strong traction it has gained with the release of the Blue Pumpkin Workforce Optimization Suite last year.  Most recently, Blue Pumpkin unveiled the industry’s first quick-launch performance management solution and introduced innovative best practice consulting services.

"Making the prestigious list for the second year in a row – and in the top 25% – speaks to the increasing role workforce optimization is playing in businesses globally and our ability to help customers achieve extraordinary successes," said Doron Aspitz, chairman and chief executive officer of Blue Pumpkin.  "This honor also reaffirms our innovative and focused business strategy, enabling us not just to grow revenue and market share year after year, but also sustain profitability in what is still a difficult economic climate."

"The entrepreneurs you’ll find on the Inc 500 have the type of attitude we need to get this economy moving again," explained John Koten, editor-in-chief of Inc.  "For them, a tough market is not an excuse for poor performance, but an opportunity to innovate and rise above the competition."

Started in 1982, the Inc 500 ranks the nation’s leading private firms according to sales growth over the previous five years.  World-class companies such as Microsoft, Stonyfield Farms, Timberland, Oracle, Princeton Review, Morningstar, E*Trade, Intuit and Domino’s Pizza had all appeared on the list before becoming industry powerhouses.

To be eligible for this year’s Inc 500, companies had to be independent and privately held through their fiscal year 2002, have at least $200,000 in sales in the base year of 1998, and their 2002 sales had to have exceeded 2001 sales.  Inc verifies all information using tax forms and financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials.
