GOLDMINE SOFTWARE CORP. TAKES TOP HONORS IN FIRST ANNUAL USERS CHOICE AWARDS

Users Name HEAT® 5.0 "Gold Best of Class" in Help Desk Category

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 19, 1999) - GoldMine Software Corp. announced today it received "Gold Best of Class" at the First Annual Users Choice Awards sponsored by Customer Support Management magazine and Real Market Research.

"We're pleased that our customers feel strongly about the product and its related services," said Vance Brown, president and CEO of Goldmine Software Corp. when notified of the overwhelming positive response in the voting. "There is no better vote of confidence for a product than a satisfied customer and our plan is to continue providing a world-class solution with the HEAT product line."

HEAT 5.0 won the award in the Help Desk category. Offering enterprise-level help desk call management at a workgroup price, HEAT is a fully customizable, automatic call logging and tracking system that meets the internal help desk needs of the small- to medium-sized business. HEAT is widely acclaimed for its "simply powerful" ease of use and installation, customizability and breadth of functionality,

The Users Choice Awards is the only awards program in which customer relationship management (CRM) products are judged by the end-user. There were more than 238 product entries in a total of 21 categories, including Help Desk, Call Center Communications/CTI, Customer Satisfaction Measurement and Field Service/Remote Communications.

Gold Awards were presented for products or services that scored tops in their category, had widespread voting and had at least three competitive products receive broad support. These criteria were set up to assure that Gold Award winners stand alone atop a competitive field, according to the awards program organizers.

The awards ceremony was held during ZD Events' Support Services West/Customer Relationship Management Conference and Expo at the Moscone Center in San Francisco in late October.

Awards were presented by Katherine Grayson, Editorial Director of Customer Support Management and Gary Lemke, President of Real Market Research.

Regarding the new awards program, Ms. Grayson stated, "Nothing speaks so directly about the quality of and effectiveness of a product as does end-user acclaim."

Customer Support Management, "the magazine for optimizing the customer relationship", is the only enterprise-level solutions publication written exclusively for executives and line managers responsible for customer support and service.

Real Market Research provides fact-based market research for customer relationship management organizations and publishes "RealMarket Today!" - the industry's first and only daily publication highlighting CRM news and events.

The program partners for the event were Call Center Network Group, Customer Support Consortium, Help Desk Institute, Help Desk 2000 and Help Desk Professionals Association.
