Nedcor Group of South Africa Selects Aprimo™ Marketing as Central Marketing Platform

Second Largest Bank in South Africa Plans to Improve Overall Marketing Operations with Aprimo

INDIANAPOLIS (December 3, 2001) – Nedcor Group (www.nedcor.com), a South African based financial services group, has selected Aprimo™ Marketing to improve marketing operations throughout the organization’s retail banking division banks and brands.  Nedcor, which anticipates a four-fold increase in the volume and variety of customer touches annually, will rely on the web-based Aprimo™ Marketing platform to provide a central location for all marketing information and activities together with end-to-end process improvement and scalability for all marketing activities.

Aprimo, Incorporated, which recently announced that its third quarter revenues grew 42 percent sequentially over its previous quarter, continuing its momentum of record performances for quarterly growth, counts a number of other market leading companies as customers, including Amway, GM, Pfizer, Bank of America, Ernst & Young, Compaq Computer, Delta Faucet and Peugeot.

The major benefits Nedcor expected to achieve from the implementation of the Aprimo™ Marketing platform fall into three areas:
·       The ability to digitize and further automate the marketing component of the customer experience.  This will enable the scalability of existing one-to-one touches without increasing cost.
·       The abilities provided in the Aprimo™ Marketing platform to align these activities with business objectives and integrate the performance metrics will ensure that Nedcor delivers more of the activities valued by customers.  This is coupled with the capability, in much shorter time scales than historically possible, to identify which activities are achieving appropriate return on investment.

·       The knowledge base created by delivering the one-to-one touches through the web based Aprimo™ Marketing platform, which includes facilitation of the full spectrum of internal processes and roles, will create a re-useable knowledge resource within the organization.  This, over time, will dramatically reduce the cycle time to bring marketing experience—leveraged off internal learning—to market.

The deployment of Aprimo™ Marketing at Nedcor also will play a critical role in the difficult task of balancing customer demand and resource optimization by enabling Nedcor to better forecast capacity for fulfillment to ensure that customers can be serviced properly, while also ensuring the optimal utilization of the company’s operational areas so service centers do not experience peaks and troughs of demand.  Nedcor will rely on Aprimo™ Marketing to provide insight into its call center staffing needs, based on the response level to Nedcor’s monthly multi-channel campaigns.  By matching staffing to response, Nedcor can significantly reduce its operating expenses and reallocate those funds to other areas that can help boost revenue.

Looking ahead, Nedcor plans to take greater advantage of Aprimo™ Marketing’s campaign management functionality, including utilizing the segmentation engine to better target campaigns to those most likely to respond.  Because Aprimo™ Marketing is a platform, Nedcor also plans to have the tools in place to ensure its organizational objectives are in-line with overall corporate objectives and therefore contributing to the bottom-line.
