Network Integrator Comm-Tract Corp. Selects Astea for Professional Services Automation

Astea’s AllianceEnterprise Suite to automate and integrate Sales, Project Management, Field Service and multi-channel Customer Contact Center

Astea International Inc. (Nasdaq: ATEA) announced today that Comm-Tract Corp., a company that specializes in voice and data network integration services for institutional, corporate and government clients, has selected Astea’s AllianceEnterprise Suite to manage its business processes. The comprehensive Astea software solution will integrate and automate Comm-Tract’s sales force automation, project management, customer service, field service and depot repair. Capabilities include remote system access for over 100 mobile sales and service employees, an Internet portal for Comm-Tract’s customers to more easily track the status of work performed on their behalf, and integration with back-office Sage Enterprise Suite accounting software.

Comm-Tract’s repertoire of services includes the design, installation and maintenance of high-performance cabling systems, fiber optic network systems, LAN and WAN enterprise networks, and voice and data integration. The company has an installed base of over 4,000 systems with more that 1 million ports of voice and data communications equipment and 10 million feet of fiber optic cable.

Comm-Tract selected AllianceEnterprise over other systems because the Astea solution exhibited functional, ease-of-use and configuration capabilities that are most compatible with the company’s business.  The service management and project management modules have the flexibility necessary for the different types of installation and service work that Comm-Tract performs. The integrated customer contact center module with phone, fax and email capabilities also includes customer self- service via an Internet portal, adding a convenience for Comm-Tract’s customers and another method for the company to maintain strong customer relationships. Another Internet portal will allow employees to work with the system from remote locations.

Everyone will be connected and have access to more timely information. Our field personnel will be able to expedite their posting of hours, material and closing out orders. Our sales force using the integrated sales module will be able to directly book an order from an approved quotation. We anticipate substantial savings in man hours from many tasks and procedures that without AllianceEnterprise we have had to perform outside of our current system. Aside from the benefits to our operating costs, we’ll do an even better job of serving our customers.”
