Jeeves Solutions Expands Business Development and Alliance Team

New hires focus on strengthening JeevesOne’s foothold as the de facto standard for enterprise search, self-service and customer intelligence solutions


EMERYVILLE, Calif., October 9, 2002 -- Jeeves SolutionsSM, the enterprise software division of Ask Jeeves®, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASKJ), today announced that Joseph Ekman and John Palladino have been named directors of business development and alliances respectively. With more than 30 years of combined experience with companies such as Hitachi America, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Sybase and Xerox Corporation, Ekman and Palladino bring excellent market and technology awareness to Jeeves Solutions’ Strategic Alliance Group. They will focus on solidifying new alliances with systems integrators, platform and infrastructure providers, and technology and independent software vendors (ISVs). These relationships will be instrumental in expanding the reach of Jeeves Solutions’ enterprise information retrieval and customer intelligence solutions among Global 2000 corporations.
