Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0 Delivers Enhancements in Each of Its Seven Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) Applications

Enterprise Scalable Architecture Available On-Site or Hosted

INDIANAPOLIS (April 15, 2002) – Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) leader Aprimo, Incorporated, today announced Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0—the industry’s most complete offering.  This release, which includes hundreds of new enhancements across each of the seven modules in the platform, was built upon years of customer input and feedback.  Each module in the suite includes feature functionality upgrades designed to improve marketing productivity and success.  Platform-wide, Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0 delivers a new “role-based interface” that gives each user their own view into the system specific to their needs, streamlining operations and increasing efficiencies.

“Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0 represents a paradigm shift in the way marketers will view marketing management platforms,” explained Rob McLaughlin, co-founder and executive vice president of Aprimo.  “We have combined an intuitive, easy to use interface across all seven marketing applications for the most scalable marketing platform in the industry today.”

The Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0 Suite
By uniquely providing marketers seven separate, yet fully integrated modules, Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0 offers the flexibility to address one or several areas of marketing at once or over time.  The modules that address Marketing Operations (back-office) functions, and their enhancements include:
-       Strategic Planner – Expanded modules for Markets, Plans, and Objectives.  A new ‘wizard’ approach to building marketing proposals.  Increased speed-to-market with enhancements to activity and program proposal templates.

-       Financial Manager – New Committed Funds module allowing users to enter committed funds directly into the application and associate these funds to invoices. Streamlined invoice entry supports high volume requirements. Invoice review process facilitates access to invoices. Detailed account line items and in-line comments available in all worksheets.

-       Marcom Manager – Improved digital asset module with enhanced ‘slide views’ of digital assets and the ability to broadcast updated digital assets to any individual.  Enhanced automatic dynamic marketing calendars for regional, geographic or global activities and teams.

-       Event Manager – Streamlined Travel Details section allows users to enter information more quickly.  Multiple schedules for a single facility activated.  Unique access rights improve accessibility and productivity in working cooperatively with marketing service providers.

The modules that address Customer Communications (front-office) functions, and their enhancements include:
-       Direct Marketer – Enhanced segmentation allows multiple attribute segments to branch from a single parent segment.  Segmentation now supports mutually exclusive and non-exclusive segments branching from a single parent segment.  Orphan segments can be created, disconnected, and reconnected.  Segmentations can trigger other segmentations to run upon completion.  Derived variables module allows for “on-the-fly” calculation of new variables within interactions and segmentations.

-       Lead Manager – New Territory Assignment matrix facilitates establishing rules for lead distribution.  Distribution rules may use database attributes, contact histories and response histories. Proximity rules may be used for lead distribution.  Distribution rules support “weighted” and “even” distribution for routing leads to channels.

-       Web Response Manager – Enhanced processing for email “bounce-backs” and emails that fail to process correctly will now “forward on failure” to streamline failure monitoring.  New high capacity architecture to manage inbound email traffic for the highest enterprise loads.

5.0 Platform Built on Advanced Technologies
Inherent in the Direct Marketer, Event Manager, Lead Manager, and Web Response Manager modules is the Aprimo Dialogue Manager. This built-in technology allows for the management of cross-channel, multi-step customer interactions.  “The ability to guide a dialogue with customers across multiple heterogeneous channels and across simultaneous, sequential and disconnected interactions is critical to Customer Relationship Optimization.” (Gartner Research note, Relationship Optimization Key Criteria for 2002, G. Herschel, March 2002).

Aprimo™ Marketing 5.0 is a 100 percent web-based platform that requires no client installation and can be installed locally or delivered via a hosted environment.  The underlying architecture is N-tiered to better accommodate enterprise scaling and is built to easily integrate with ERP, SFA, CRM and legacy systems.
