Antenna Software to Offer Always-On Enterprise Field Service Management Solution on BlackBerry

AntennaTools for Siebel™ and BlackBerry™ Extend Full Field Service Functionalities to the Mobile Workforce Solution Extends Corporate Data Access Beyond Email

New York, NY (August 26, 2002) – Antenna Software, Inc., the leading provider of integrated Web and wireless solutions for the mobile service industry, announced today that the AntennaTools for Siebel™ wireless application is now available on BlackBerry™ Wireless Handhelds™ from Research In Motion Limited (RIM) (NASDAQ:RIMM; TSX:RIM). An always-on solution, AntennaTools on BlackBerry is a powerful end-to-end real-time field service application for the mobile enterprise.

“The BlackBerry platform is based on open standards to enable our customers and partners to easily expand their enterprise applications to wireless environments,” said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Brand Management at Research In Motion. “The combination of the BlackBerry wireless solution and AntennaTools for Siebel will help service professionals to increase productivity and customer responsiveness while in the field.”

Enterprise customers using BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds can now do more than e-mail. AntennaTools provides corporations with real-time information on scheduling, dispatching, service request management, parts movement, order/entitlement tracking, contracts or billing to help them run their businesses more efficiently. Field engineers can now enjoy point-of-need access to service call updates, or order parts directly at the customer site, yielding enormous productivity savings.

“We picked BlackBerry for its intuitive user interface, ease of use, and the BlackBerry platform’s existing architecture and security model which satisfies the rigorous demands of Fortune 1000 companies,” says Jim Hemmer, CEO of Antenna Software. “Working together, both companies are able to help service companies quickly and intelligently retool their business processes, generate quick ROIs, and rapidly improve customer service.”

With AntennaTools’ store-and-forward, push-based technology and the push-based architecture of BlackBerry, field service professionals can now remain continuously connected to the enterprise, whether they are in or out of the coverage area.

AntennaTools for Siebel is designed for quick deployment and easy integration. It provides complete support for Siebel business rules, events and databases. Coupled with the BlackBerry platform that supports multiple wireless networks using standard protocols and languages (including XML, HTTP and Java), AntennaTools for Siebel represents a very fast and efficient way to connect BlackBerry users to additional enterprise systems.

Antenna Software and Research In Motion intend to jointly promote AntennaTools on BlackBerry to the enterprise market. The companies will demonstrate the solution at the Antenna Software Booth (Booth #334) during the DCI Field Service Management Conference & Expo in New York next week (Jacob K. Javis Convention Center, August 28-30).
