Answers.com® Appoints eCRM Executive to Senior Management Team


PASADENA, Calif. – October 24, 2000 – Answers.com, a leading provider of online customer service tools, today announced Michael Walsh has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development.

Walsh was previously with Davox, a Boston-based CRM company specializing in customer interaction management and served as Davox’s Director of Business Development, Technology Alliances, and Strategic Marketing.  While at Davox, Walsh led the expansion of their telephony-based product line into the customer interaction management space.  During his tenure at Davox, the company grew from $38 million in annual revenue to more than $90 million.

Walsh commented on some of Answers.com’s strengths by saying, "Answers.com’s solutions provide tangible cost savings and revenue opportunities for our customers. It is exciting to be part of a team that is focused on providing Web-based customer interaction management solutions that meet the core needs of any business."

Answers.com also named Bob Lazzarini, formerly Answers.com's Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development, to the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Pasadena office.  Also announced today was the promotion of Jennifer Sanchez, formerly Director of Marketing, to Vice President of Marketing. Tad Benson, formerly Answers.com’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, is now the company’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development.
