CRM Headline News

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 9 -- Amdocs (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies), the world's leading provider of billing and CRM products and services for true, integrated customer management, today announced that Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12, the latest release of its market-leading CRM software, demonstrated unmatched CRM application performance, scalability, and high availability in a recent benchmark test conducted on HP hardware and BEA WebLogic platform. Employing a robust and innovative testing methodology that emulated real-world usage of Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 web client applications for customer interaction management, sales and support, Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 significantly outperformed previously published benchmark results in both the number of concurrent users and inbound interactions.

"In today's high-volume, mission-critical CRM environments, system performance and high availability cannot be comprised without also compromising brand equity," said Liz Roche, Vice President, Technology Research Services at META Group, Inc. "Organizations must select CRM technology that utilizes proven, industry-standard components, and also delivers the flexibility required to provide consistent, world-class lifecycle management in a continuously changing business environment. Vendors that win in this space long-term deliver world-class benchmark results, along with a robust testing methodology in order to demonstrate their true enterprise strength."

Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 benchmark tests were conducted using a large Oracle database with 50 million customers. Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12, running on HP Superdome(TM) and midrange servers with HP-UX version 11i and BEA WebLogic Platform(TM) 8.1, demonstrated high volume performance handling more than 60,000 concurrent users and over 542,000 inbound customer interactions per hour. The .209 sub-second average response time will allow for faster and more efficient customer interactions resulting in improved customer satisfaction and agent efficiency.

Additional testing demonstrated that Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 efficiently utilizes hardware and system resources and scales linearly. These additional tests demonstrate the power of Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 to positively affect total cost of ownership and return on investment and, at the same time, help ensure that organizations are able to effectively plan for and manage business growth.

In an industry first, the benchmark included high availability testing of Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 using an Oracle database with Real Application Cluster (RAC) and BEA WebLogic Platform(TM) 8.1 clustering. High availability describes the ability of Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 applications and the hardware upon which they are running to continue operating despite disruptions that may arise at the database and application server tiers. Using industry-standard components with tests simulating real-world failure scenarios, Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 sustained operation without compromising overall performance - a requirement to support mission-critical CRM operations.

"System performance and scalability are playing increasingly larger roles in investment technology decisions for enterprise-scale companies charged with managing complex, high-volume customer interactions," said Peter Hurst, Vice President Clarify Marketing at Amdocs. "By combining best-in-class performance and a proven track record of results with customers including Boise Office Solutions, BT, HP, Nortel Networks and Vodafone, Amdocs ClarifyCRM can easily handle the largest deployments where availability and manageability are crucial ensuring companies can maximize operational efficiencies while lowering total cost of ownership."

"The focused methodology and performance results of this benchmark demonstrate that Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 on the HP platform can effectively and efficiently meet the requirements of high-volume, mission critical customer operations," said Ron Eller, Vice President of Enterprise Solution Alliances at HP. "The performance, up-time and scalability results of these tests establish the level of service required to tighten the linkage between business and IT."

"Industry standard, and high performance applications are a requirement to help ensure large, global companies across all industries can quickly adapt to meet the changing dynamics of their businesses and their customers," said Scott Edgington, Vice President and General Manager, Global Software Partners at BEA Systems (Nasdaq: BEAS). "The results generated with the combination of BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1 and Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 can help our customers meet the challenges that changing market conditions present, and consistently deliver on customer commitments while reducing the total cost of ownership for CRM systems."
