Tim Schmidt is a Managing Partner with Encore Consulting Group, a CRM (customer relationship management) and E-Business technology and business process-consulting firm. He is regarded as a technology thought leader illustrated by his Founding Board Membership and former Chair of the PDAia (PDA Industry Association) and 16 years of high technology executive management and consulting. Tim has chaired DCI’s SFA & Fieldforce Automation Conference, DCI’s Internet World, Network World’s Unplugged and IBC’s Extranet Conference, and has presented over 150 times at national and international business and technology conferences and vendor seminars, such as Key3Events CRM, Consumer Electronics Show (CES), DCI’s CRM conference(s), GigaWorld, Giga’s CRM and Knowledge management conference amongst others. He has also been a frequent contributor to Pen Computing Magazine, PC Week, InfoWorld, NetworkWorld, Sales and Marketing Management and several other trade publications. Tim currently serves on the Key 3 Events (formerly ZD Events) CRM advisory board and serves as a board member for several E-Business and dot com companies. He is also currently writing two books, the first will be released in the 4th quarter of 2000 entitled “The Hitchhikers Guide to Customer Relationship Management” on integrating CRM into organizations and during the 2nd quarter of 2001 “E Is Dead, Long Live E” on putting together the E strategy.

Tim is regarded by many of his peers as one of the leading experts on CRM and E-Business architecture and implementation from both the business process and technology venues.

Prior to joining Encore, Tim was founder and principal of Intelligent Technologies International, a company that specialized in bringing new mobile and wireless technologies to market for computer and wireless vendors. Tim has also held executive positions with Syntel, GRiD Systems Corporation and TelePad Corporation.

Tim has counseled some of the most innovative technology and business companies throughout the world on e-Business and CRM. Example companies are The Compass Group, UK Post Office, Anheuser Busch, Philip Services Corporation, Tivoli, GTE (Codetel), Samsung, LG Electronics and several others.
