Steve Robins is the vice president of product marketing at KANA, the leader in eCRM, the next generation of customer relationship management. He brings 15+ years of experience in marketing, product management, and technology.
Prior to joining KANA, Steve was a senior analyst in the Internet Computing Strategies and Customer Relationship Management practices at the Yankee Group in Boston. Steve authored cutting edge reports on Web applications such as eService, eCommerce, content management and corporate portals. Steve chaired DCI’s first conference on corporate portals in November, 1999. And Steve has been widely quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Computer World, The Industry Standard, Information Week, and CNET online.
Prior to joining the Yankee Group, Mr. Robins held the positions of marketing manager, senior product manager, and manager of technical support at Baranof Software, where he was responsible for product management and positioning. He also led the company’s move into monitoring Internet applications. Previously, he was employed by Polyfibron Technologies, New England Business Service, Avery Dennison, and EDS, primarily in marketing and product management.
Steven holds a B.A. degree cum laude in communication from State University of New York at Albany, and an M.B.A. degree in marketing with a minor in information systems from State University of New York at Buffalo.
